Several state players, including former Test swing bowler Debasis Mohanty, state Ranji team members Saurabh Sehgal and Preetamjeet Das greeted former Orissa under-19 cricketer Avinash Rath and his wife Sweety Panigrahi at the duo`s wedding reception party in Bhubaneswar today.
The marriage ceremony took place at Cuttack earlier on January 21. Avinash represented Orissa in Cooch Behar Trophy (under-19) cricket tournament for one season, playing four matches. A member of the leading cricket club Saheed Sporting, he is currently helping club coach Sasank Das in grooming young cricketers at the grassroots level. Avinash and Sweety are now serving as the assistant managers of Aircel and Bank of Karnataka in Bhubaneswar.
